What teaching supplies and educational materials will I need to start teaching my child at home

Teaching supplies do not just consist of red marking pens and apple shaped paper clip holders. If you are going to provide your child with a quality at-home education your teaching supplies will need to consist of lesson plan books, behavior charts, art supplies, math manipulatives, videos and many other types of educational materials. These educational materials will be used to teach, inspire, and encourage your child in learning.

Teaching your child to read requires an understanding of phonics. More than just knowing all the sounds there are accepted methods on instructing phonics, as well as an importance placed on the sequence in which sounds and letters are taught.
